Shylie grew up in Tweed Heads in Northern New South Wales. She always had aspirations of becoming a costume designer. Straight out of high school; she studied Clothing Production.
She had to put these aspirations on hold to become a single mother.
It was many years later; during the pre-production of her partner’s maiden feature film that she decided to enrol in the Australian Academy of Cinemagraphic Make-Up. As a requirement for photo shoots and assignments at AACM; she had to make costumes for characters during achieving her diploma in Cinemagraphic Make Up. It was during the study at this prestigious institution that her costume making and styling passion was reignited.
She also had the opportunity to learn from some of the industries most decorated figures and learned invaluable skills from them.

Whilst studying she entered and took out First place at the "Battle of the Brushes" competition at IMATS 2016 (International makeup artist trade show) in the Beauty/fantasy category which was a huge milestone for her and the beginning of her career.

Fast forward years later and she has collaborated with various Photographers, leading to having been published in numerous international magazines. Has had the opportunity to work on Hollywood Blockbuster movies such as 'Kong: Skull Island', 'Aquaman', and 'Dora: the Lost City of Gold'.
She was placed in charge of departments Costume/ Make-up/Props/ Set Design/Production Design for Indy Feature Films 'Alfa Maschi' & 'Western Culture'.
Also having taken out First place and overall Champion in the Professional category for the 2019 Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo make-up Competition.
Live demonstrations for 'IMATS' Los Angeles & 'The Show' Sydney......the list goes on.

Shylie is excited to see what the future has in store. The sky is the limit!
