Christmas "Who" photoshoot

Today was one of my most fun photo shoots ever! Not only was it one of my fav themes, but got to collab with the best team of creatives!

This morning myself, and fellow artist (my partner in creative crime) Lisa Choi, set off to finally shoot our Christmas concept we have been working on for the past month. Being my all time favourite Christmas movie is Dr Suess how the Grinch stole Christmas, we knew we had to create our own characters from Whoville for a Christmas themed photo shoot.

Instantly we knew what we wanted to do. My character was typical "who." Colourful, cute, Christmas themed and Lisa wanted to do an emo style who.

With our designs set, we quickly bought in the one and only wig stylist, Jake Holmes, to bring our wig designs to life.

Once Jake heard what we were doing, he was beyond excited! We knew we had to fulfill his life long dream of becoming a who, so Lisa also made him her model. When it came to pick who would model the girl Who the choice was obvious. On board to model for me was the super cute, and perfect for this role, dancer and performer...... Madi Marr.

With the car packed (and a few trips back and forth because I forgot a few things) we set off to Chad Atkinsons' workshop. Chad was our former prosthetics teacher, and has since started his own workshop, which he kindly let us take over for the day.

Considering the temperatures were in the 30 degree range, our models had full wigs, prosthetics and layers of winter clothing, the day couldn't have gone better.

We had the amazing Matthew Taylor behind the lens, and let me just say he captured all the cuteness and some pretty amazing pics were created!

I seriously had so much today, I wish we could do this everyday!!!!!
