Today was another epic shoot, with an amazing team, at an incredible location.

For this shoot I wanted to re-use one of my amazing mermaid tails that were created for a previous shoot. I wanted to step away from the typical pretty mermaid type look and completely spin it around.

My inspiration for this shoot was the deep expressive character that was Amy Winehouse.

The costume, hair and makeup design needed to be a fuse of the typical beauty of a mermaid with a rough/rockstar appearance. I wanted her to resemble a hung over "partied" character, waking after a big night in a strange place.

Of course the setting for this needed to be perfect.

With one of my fav models back on board- Monica Niven, we were off to trek down a mountain, with a bathtub, numerous bottles of water, all our equipment and costuming, to set up in an old abandoned train tunnel.

With its colourful graffiti art, paired with the beautiful antique foot claw bathtub and surrounded by empty liquor bottles and cigarettes, really made for a striking shot.
